LINCOLN ASSASSINATION RELICS
A set of three relics associated with the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. The group includes a small swatch of the bed sheet from the Peterson Boarding House where Lincoln died the morning of April 15, 1865, from the collection of Charles K. Tuckerman, the first American Minister to Greece. The hair strands were collected by Mrs. Caroline Wright, the wife of Civil War Indiana Gov. Joseph Wright, thence sold to Christie's several years ago. Matted and ready for display. Offered together with a similarly matted display with several strands of Lincoln's hair together with strands from Seward , identical provenance to the above.
