Description:

LEONID BREZHNEV
(1906 - 1982) Soviet leader who engineered the ouster of Khrushchev, chairman of the Presidium, and established the Brezhnev Doctrine entitling the Soviet Union to interfere in affairs of Warsaw Pact countries. A nice association piece, an ornate greeting card with a plastic, ribbon-tied sleeve and fanciful blue engraving on the cover, celebrating the anniversary of VE-Day, inscribed in type to Ivan Nikitovich Kozhedub (1920-1991), top Russian ace made Hero of the Soviet Union three times. Boldly signed in Cyrillic on the interior page. With the original envelope addressed to Kozhedub, light offsetting to card, very good. A nice association piece.
