GEORGE DE MOHNENSCHILDT (1911-1977) American geologist who befriended Lee Harvey Oswald in 1962, maintaining that friendship until Oswald's death. He was a personal acquaintance of the Bouvier Family including Jacqueline Kennedy when she was a child. Scarce signed book, his volume Manual of Photographic Interpretation (Washington: American Society of Photogrammetry, 1960), 868pp. 4to., bound in red linen. Signed on the first free endpaper: "Return to: G. de Mohnenschildt Geologist and Petroleum Engineer 216 Sadler Building Dallas, Texas 1635 Yale Boulevard Port au Prince, Boite 331". Boards a bit stained and worn, very good.
