1861. TOMMY LASORDA (b. 1927) American sports legend, best known as the charismatic manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Uncommon A.L.S. on Dodgers Stadium letterhead, 1p. 8vo., [n.p., n.d. but ca. 1970s], to a young fan, in part: "...If you are interesting in becoming a ball player, you should work hard and play the game as often as you can...". Along with a fine 8" x 10" color S.P. showing Lasorda in uniform, inscribed to "A future Dodger....". Two pieces, fine. $150-200
