888. WALTER LANTZ (d. 1992) American cartoonist, creator of the hyperactive Woody Woodpecker. A great lot of three original drawings of Lantz's famous creations, each drawn on a 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" field paper bearing his gold-embossed logo at bottom right. Executed in pencil and colored pencils, the drawings show two images Woody Woodpecker, one standing, one seated, and another of a little penguin. Each boldly signed and in fine condition.
