Good lot of 21 leaflets, pamphlets and articles of ephemera, all related to the Ku Klux Klan of the 1920s and '30s. Includes: a “Charter Petition” to form a local "klavern", an “Application for Citizenship”, a "klavern" transfer form, a robe order form, and a "Knights Kamelia" promotion form, all in blank; a blank sheet of Klan letterhead; five pamphlets and brochures, each approx. 4pp. 8vo. and smaller, bearing titles such as "Americans Take Heed!", "A Fundamental Klan Doctrine", "Ideals of the Ku Klux Klan", "The Attitude of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan Toward the Roman Catholic Hierarchy", and "The Klan of Tomorrow" (by Imperial Wizard Hiram W, Evans); a "Kloran" outlining the rites and ceremonies of the Klan; the "Ku Klux Kreed", as recited by the "Order of the Women of the Ku Klux Klan"; an anti-FDR pamphlet, titled "Beware the 8th of November 1932"; a Pennsylvania "Knights of the Ku Klux Klan" business card, bearing the motto "The old State of Pennsylvania is not what it used to be Since the Ku Klux Klan came to town"; a Klan advertising card allowing the bearer admittance to special recruitment meetings; a "Women of the Ku Klux Klan" card soliciting the enlistment of "100% American Women"; information card, bearing anti-Catholic "facts" such as "Do you know that the Pope is a political autocrat?" and "Do you know that popery enthroned in great cities controls politics?"; and two additional recruitment cards, titled "Honor is the Crowning Virtue of American Manhood" and "Non Silba Sed Anthar" ("Not Self, But Others"). The pieces variously show light toning, soiling and folds, else very good. 21 pieces.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipments after receipt of payment due to the high volume of packages being shipped.
