KONSTANTIN TSIOLKOVSKY
(1857 - 1935) Pioneering Russian scientist and rocket designer who laid out the basic principles of modern space flight. Superb and very rare A.Ms.S. 1p. 4to., [n.p., n.d.], in Russian. Not translated, but bears four engineering diagrams depicting various valves, each annotated by Tsiolkovsky, with additional notes signed at top, as was his custom. Ragged side margins cost a few words of text, some toning, otherwise very good. With letter of authenticity issued by the International Charitable Foundation for Support of Russian Cosmonauts.
