Description:


(1896 - 1968) Soviet general who held the critical northwest approaches to Moscow, later headed defenses at Stalingrad and near the end of the war encircled and destroyed the German 4th Army. Partly-printed D.S. in Cyrillic, 2pp. sm. folio, 1945, a military attestation of Major Alexander Zabolotnyuk. Rokossovsky signs on the bottom of the second page, adding 'Cooperates to occupied position' and the date 'December 20, 1947'. Fold along left margin where previously disbound, else fine.
