KLAUS BARBIE (1913-1991) "The Butcher of Lyon", German SS officer, head of the Gestapo in Lyon and responsible for the deportation and murder of thousands of Jews and resistance fighters, including Jean Moulin. A signed document related to Barbie, 1p. 8vo., Berlin, Sep. 1, 1944, an award of the War Cross 2nd Class with Swords given to one Heinrich Schop of "Transport Headquarters Lyon" and signed by general and chief of transport RUDOLF GERCKE. Fine. Of course, Lyon's transport was used to move Barbie's prisoners about, to execution grounds, prisons, camps, and so on.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
