Typed D.S. by KIRILL S. MOSKALENKO (1902-1985), Soviet general who broke out of the Kiev trap and later forced Guderian's withdrawal from Moscow, essentially saving the city, and ALEXEI YEPISHEV (1908-1985), Major General during World War II and Chief of the Main Political Directorate of the Soviet Army and Navy from 1962 to 1985, 2pp. 4to., [n.p.], Feb. 26, 1945, a military characteristic of Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Dergachenko, the Head of the Topography Department of the 38th Army. Moskalenko signs in red pencil on the second page as the Commander of Troops of the 38th Army, adding the inscription: "…Cooperates to the occupied position, but doesn't show enough persistence and initiative in providing troops with maps…" Yepishev also signs in blue pencil at the conclusion. Fold along the left edge, else fine.
