480. JOHN F. KENNEDY Fine content T.L.S. "John Kennedy" on his Senate letterhead, 1p. 4to., Washington, [January, 1953] to "Mrs. O'Connor". Following his re-election to the Senate, Kennedy writes in part: "...I appreciate all of your efforts during the past months of the campaign. I am certain that we never would have survived the Eisenhower landslide if it had not been for the effectiveness of our organization...which was the best that the state had ever seen...victory was won by the people such as yourself who carried out the many arduous but necessary tasks which constitute political success...". Fine condition. "Mrs. O'Connor" was the wife of William O'Connor, Kennedy's personal friend and an important Kennedy election organizer in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
