Description:

336. KENNEDY ASSASSINATION TELETYPE ROLLS A scarce teletype printout setting forth particulars surrounding the shooting of President John F. Kennedy and subsequent events in Dallas on November 22, 1963, covering a period of about four hours on that fateful day. The printout is in six sections, five of which are about three feet long, with one about 12 feet long. The reports are from the Associated Press, and originated from a business news reporting service. The first dispatch begins at approx. 1:55 PM EST announcing: "PRESIDENT KENNEDY WAS SHOT TODAY ...MRS KENNEDY JUMPED UP AND GRABBED MR KENNEDY SHE CRIED OH NO. THE MOTORCASE SPED ON KENNEDY WAS REPORTED TAKEN TO PARKLAND HOSPITAL...BELL REPORTED THREE SHOTS WERE FIRED...PANDEMONIUM BROKE LOOSE...GOV JOHN B CONNALLY WAS ALSO CUT DOWN...CALL WAS ALSO SENT FOR A ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIEST...CONNALLY SUFFERED THREE WOUNDS...SECRET SERVICE SAID THE PRESIDENT REMAINED IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM...TWO PRIESTS WHO WERE WITH KENNEDY SAY HE IS DEAD...KENNEDY DIED OF A GUNSHOT WOUND IN THE BRAIN AT APPROXIMATELY 1 PM CST...WITNESS SAID HE SAW A GUN EMERGE FROM AN UPPER STORY OF A WAREHOUSE...THE TRANSPARENT PLASTIC ROOF OF THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN REMOVED...POLICE FOUND THE REMAINS OF FRIED CHICKEN...[MRS. More excellent content describes Mrs. Kennedy departing with her husband's body, the discovery of Oswald's sniper's nest, Johnson being sworn-in, and so on. Fine condition. These teletype printouts are becoming very rare and quite expensive: a similar printout, more lengthy, was sold by us earlier this year in excess of $5,000. $2,000-3,000
