JUNKERS JU87B STUKA RECOVERED ARMORED WINDSHIELD
A rather heavy 9.5 in. x 10.5 in. section of armored windshield from a German Stuka dive bomber, the Junkers JU87B. Presented on a 11 in. long wooden stand bearing a plate that reads: ‘Junkers Ju87 B-1 5518. Armoured Windshield from plane shot down 18th August 1940, at Fishbourne Creek, England by Sgt. J. Hallows, 43 Squadron RAF'. Accompanied by a sheet with details on this specific attack, reading in part: ‘...This aircraft was attacked and shot down by Sgt. H Hallowes of No. 43 Squadron...aircraft broke up in mid-air and crashed into Fishbourne Creek...Both crew members [Oberlt. J. Wilhelm and Uffz. A. Worner] took to their parachutes and were captured. This aircraft was one of 18 lost by StG 77. on a day that became known as the ‘massacre of the Stukas' and led directly to the Germans withdrawing their Ju87 units from the Battle of Britain.'. A fine, one of a kind relic directly attributed to a specific plane and specific crew, and their exact crash site. Recovered from the crash site by our consignor in the 1970's. Be aware, this is a very heavy item therefore a higher than normal shipping charge is to be expected.

Due to complications from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will ship with USPS Priority Mail only if the buyer submits their request to us in writing and accepts responsibility for delayed shipments. Signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
