Description:

(1898 - 1967) Hitler's chief personal adjutant sent to Munich to destroy Hitler's personal papers after the fall of Berlin. T.L.S., 2pp. 4to., Bohmerwald, June 23, 1963 in German to a researcher. In small part: '...The two postcard greetings to Miss Gretl Braun contain signatures (from Paris) from Adolf Wagner, also from me, then from Martin Bormann the second card to Miss Gretl Braun contains signatures as follows: from Eva Braun, the later Mrs. Adolf Hitler, from Albert Speer Minister for Armaments and Ammunition, Mrs. Hanny Morell, personal physician Dr. Morell...Max Schmeling, former boxing master, Mrs. Erna Hoffmann, wife of the photographer Heinrich Hoffmann, and Mrs. Irma Zerlett...Miss Gretel Braun is the sister of Miss Eva Braun...The letter of June 16, 1924, sent on June 24, was in the fortress Landsberg...signed above with E.M., it's Emil Maurice, who was locked up with us in Landsberg and during this time he occasionally did the writing work for A.H....The person named Excellenz L. is General Ludendorff. The content of the letter contains a rejection by A.H., because he did not want to interfere in the dispute between the rival parties at the time...The color photos are certainly watercolors, supposedly by A.H., which I very much doubt. It's not known to me that A.H. painted this church...A.H. offered to repurchase his paintings at high prices. He himself found that these were 97% wrong. I can therefore only warn against buying watercolors!...' Very good.
