L.S. "Dudley" as Governor of Massachusetts, 1p. legal folio, Boston, July 9, 1703 enclosing a document relative to "...Francis Wainwright Esqr; tooke [sic] the Oaths appointed by Act of Parliament to be taken instead of the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy repeated and subscribed the Declaration in the sd. Act mentioned And also tooke the Oath of a Justice of peace." Silked, usual folds, light marginal chips, else very good.
