Autograph endorsement signed with initials J T as President, six lines on verso of an L. S. to him, 1p. 4to., Washington, May 24, 1844 by Congressman Amasa Dana. Dana asks the President to consider reinstatement of editor C. W. Bennett who is .. engaged in the practice of law... a man of standing influence and respectability.
