JOHN SULLIVAN
(1740 - 1795) American Revolution major general captured at Long Island and exchanged, he later wintered at Valley Forge, and was abandoned by D'Estaing to face the British at Newport. A.E.S. "Jno Sullivan Mg" at the conclusion of a manuscript D.S. 1p. legal folio, Providence, Feb. 18, 1779 being an account between Deputy Quartermaster General John Warner and the U.S. for the former's rations drawn between January and December 1778. Sullivan approves the account and orders that Warner be paid "...sixty five pounds eighteen shillings, and four pence..." for his expenses. Signed twice by Warner. Usual folds with slight partial separations, light marginal wear, small identification label affixed at left, else very good.

Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
