(1902 - 1968) American author and one of the greatest fiction writers of the twentieth century. His works include The Grapes of Wrath, Of Mice and Men, and East of Eden. For his efforts he was awarded the Pulitzer and Nobel prizes. rare signed book, his The Red Pony (Viking Press, New York) 1945, first illustrated edition, fine, in heavily chipped slipcase. Inscribed on the title page to Leonard Lyons, film and theater columnist who wrote "The Lyons Den": "To the Lyons's with many thanks. John Steinbeck".

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry.
