JOHN F. KENNEDY
(1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the United States. Kennedy faced down Khrushchev during the Cuban Missile Crisis, re-invigorated NASA, and signed the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. Assassinated November 1963 by Lee Harvey Oswald. Signature on the front cover of the Aug. 7, 1961 edition of "Newsweek" magazine, featuring an illustration of Kennedy with his quote: "We intend to have a wider choice than humiliation or all-out nuclear action". Kennedy signs beneath the masthead in blue ink, adding the dedication: "To Jim". Shows chipping at the top and left edges, else very good. Three days earlier, Nikita Khruschev related his conversation with an American envoy: "I told him to let Kennedy know...that if he starts a war then he would probably become the last president of the United States of America."

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
