Assassinated November 1963 by Lee Harvey Oswald. Six items related to Kennedy's presidency: EVELYN LINCOLN (1909-1995) Personal secretary to John F. Kennedy from his election to the U.S. Senate in 1953 until his 1963 assassination in Dallas. Mrs. Lincoln was privy to all of Kennedy's notes, letters and meeting, and was undoubtedly his closest aide. She was present in the motorcade when Kennedy was assassinated and flew in Air Force One when it carried the late president's body back to Washington. On White House letterhead to a fan regarding Kennedy's end-of-year television report, with cover; and TIMOTHY J. REARDON (1915-1993) Personal and political aide to JFK, a member of the ‘Irish Mafia'. T.L.S. 1p. 4to., Washington, Oct. 26, 1962. On White House letterhead to a gentleman regarding his note to Joseph Kennedy and adding that ‘PT boat tie clips are not available for general distribution…'. WITH: three commemorative covers, individually signed by STEVEN E. and JEAN KENNEDY SMITH, JOHN CONNALLY, and EDWARD KENNEDY. Connally's cover is torn, else lot is in very good to fine condition.
