JOHN F. KENNEDY'S CIGARS AND NOTE
An interesting lot, a typed note signed, 1p. 8vo., Apr. 29, 1962 from Chris Hendrix to "The President", in part: "...Dr. Burkley advises taking sudafed now, at bedtime and upon arising...The Otrivin nasal spray may be used for keeping the nasal passages open...". At the margin, Kennedy pens himself a reminder to send a gift: "Cigars". Admiral George Burkley was Kennedy's personal physician. Sold with a framed shadowbox presentation with two cigars labeled individually "JFK'S GIFT CIGAR" and "JFK'S PERSONAL CIGAR", with two matchbooks, at least one of which bears Kennedy's name and an embossed image of the White House. From the collection of Dr. John Lattimer, noted Lincoln and Kennedy collector.
