(1878 - 1967) English poet and playwright, author of much fiction. T.Ms.S. 1 p. oblong 8vo., [n.p., n.d.] being a poem in tribute of John F. Kennedy which reads: "ALL GENEROUS HEARTS LAMENT THE LEADER KILLED, / THE YOUNG CHIEF WITH THE SMILE, THE RADIANT FACE, / THE WINNING WAY THAT TURNED A WONDROUS RACE / INTO SUBLIMER PATHWAYS, LEADING ON. / GRANT TO US LIFE THAT THOUGH THE MAN E GONE / THE PROMISE OF HIS SPIRIT BE FULFILLED." With original transmittal envelope addressed in Masefield's hand. Postmarked Abingdon, Berks, Feb. 15, 1964. Light creases, else fine condition.
