(JOHN F. KENNEDY ASSASSINATION)
A group of relics from the estate of police man Charles Oliver Arnett, captain in the reserve police force who were brought on board as backup during the President's fatal visit on Nov. 22, 1963. On that day, Arnett deployed reserves to search police and court buildings, and furnish officers for traffic duty and crowd control. Arnett later testified in Warren Commission hearings on Mar. 25, 1964 about his activities during the assassination. The relics include a silvertone police whistle, three brass buttons emblazoned with the "City of Dallas" seal, and a black felt patch from the Dallas Police Reserve. Also included is a copy of Arnett's statement during his questioning, as well as an original 10" x 8" b/w photo showing the Dallas police staff. Fine condition.
