JOHN D. ROCKEFELLER AND HENRY H. FLAGLER
(1839 - 1937) American industrialist and philanthropist who organized Standard Oil and virtually monopolized the industry until he was forced by a Supreme Court ruling to dissolve the company and break it up into regional producers and refiners. Fine stock certificate from the Standard Oil Trust Company, in which JOHN D. ROCKEFELLER and HENRY M. FLAGLER transfer one hundred shares in the company to the American Baptist Missionary Union on Nov.16, 1885. Additionally signed by BENJAMIN BREWSTER (1828-1897), an American industrialist and one of the original trustees of Standard Oil. Very good condition, and an attractive item for display.
