JOAQUIN GUZMAN
(b. 1957) 'El Chapo', Mexican former drug lord and a former leader within the Sinaloa Cartel, an international crime syndicate. He is considered to have been one of the most powerful drug traffickers in the world. Guzman oversaw operations whereby mass cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and heroin were produced, smuggled into, and distributed throughout the United States and Europe. He escaped twice from Mexican jails before extradition the the U.S. where he is now imprisoned for life. Excessively rare autograph document signed with his prisoner number (only), 2pp. legal folio, [ADX Florence Colorado 'Supermax' prison], Oct. 22, 2021, a prison commissary order form in which the notorious cartel leader requests a variety of items, including soap, tortillas and tortilla chips, cookies, 'squeeze cheese', sardines, pre-cooked bacon, etc., much of which is 'out'. At the top, Guzman has written his prisoner number: '89914053', along with his unit, cell, and the date. Coffee stains, else very good. A far cry from the life Guzman once enjoyed...
