Description:

JOACHIM VON RIBBENTROP DISPOSES OF HIS LAST POSSESSIONS
(1893 - 1946) Nazi foreign minister. First of the Nuremberg defendants to hang on October 16, 1946. Incredible content A.L.S., 1p. legal folio, [Nuremberg, likely October, 1946], to prison authorities, almost certainly immediately prior to his execution. Ribbentrop writes in bold pencil, providing the authorities detaining him with instructions on the disposal of his personal property...even his dental bridges. In part: '...I wish to hand over my complete property as shown below to my defense counsel Dr. Georg Froeschmann, Nuremberg, Urilandstrasse 36, for my wife Annalies von Ribbentrop. Money: 26,000 Marks less the amount which Colonel Andrus handed over to my wife….The amount was, I believe, 3,600 Marks. 1 gold wrist watch (Longines). The prison receipt for the gold watch is held by Dr. Froeschmann or Herr Pintor. Various pictures and letters which are in my prison cell in the linen bag. 2 files of defense documents (blue)…..1 suit, 1 pair of grey trousers…..'My Memoirs; pages 108-126, 1 memorandum on the Jewish policy, 2 gold dental bridges'. Some light age toning to the head of the page, only very slightly affecting the first line of text and with some light age wear and a few very small tears to the upper edge, overall very good.
