Description:

JEHOVAH'S WITNESS' CONCENTRATION CAMP ACCOUNT
Chilling typed manuscript in German submitted by a Jehovah's Witness named Gustav Auschner concerning his experiences at Sachsenhausen and Neuengamme concentration camps, used by the prosecution at the Nuremburg Guards Trials. In part: '...1000 Russian prisoners arrived in the camp...they were the subject of special attention. In a short time they were dying from lack of nourishment...I twice saw instances of men being gassed in the camp. On one occasion there must have been 190 of them...In the prison cells there was a continual succession of hangings. Also people talked much of cases where sick prisoners were given intravenous injections of benzine or paraffin...One of the prisoners, Willie Joe, had a book produced by the Jehovah's Witness...which had been smuggled into the camp. This was burned in front of my eyes and we were both flogged for having it...' Very good.
