In part: '...I thank you...for your recent kind letter offering aid in the matter of getting the Jefferson Statue properly lighted...The matter of lighting the Statue is ever on my mind and heart, and I am most anxious for its accomplishment - also to put on record the wrong done to the Statue and the sculptor by the National Park Dept. and the Jefferson Memorial Commission. At another time I shall inform you of the scandalous treatment if received ...while executing this assignment...' Very good. WITH: two Jefferson Memorial souvenir mailer descriptive booklets, each containing an A.L.S. by Evans with cordial content. Three pieces.
