JEDEDIAH HUNTINGTON
(1743 - 1818) Revolutionary War brigadier general who repulsed the raid on Danbury, and served on the courts martial of Charles Lee and Major Andre. Partly-printed D.S. as state treasurer, 1p. legal folio, Hartford, Feb. 16, 1789, an order to the Sheriff of Fairfield to seize over 136 pounds from Constable Simeon Munger of Reading who had neglected to make payment of the "Threepenny Tax", and had presumably embezzled the money. Small splits at one fold, else very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
