Partly-printed D.S. "John Jay" as Governor, 1p. folio, Albany, Mar. 23, 1796, an appointment of John Johnson to serve as Captain of a company of New York State militia. Very good condition with a bold signature and paper and wax seal. Sold with an A.D.S., 1p. 12mo., 1828 by his son, PETER AUGUSTUS JAY. Two pieces. $800-1,200
