The issues include: Jan. 24, 1945 picturing five suicide pilots in flight gear, members of the 'Kongo-tai' IJN Special Attack Unit in the Philippines, the front page reading: 'The Fierce Battle - Cover the Kingdom of God. All aircraft special attack. I say again, All aircraft special attack'; the second issue is dated Dec. 29, 1944,same format, pictures the tail of a suicide aircraft and features members of the IJA 'Fugaku tai' suicide squadron in the Philippines, the caption reading: 'Justice of God's Island explodes in Leyte. The Kingdom of God will never shake'. Within, this issue also shows kamikaze pilots having a final toast with the caption noting the sinking of a battleship and cruiser; the third issue, same format Nov. 22, 1944, shows suicide aircraft lined-up on an airstrip, the caption reading: 'Zero fighters made by Nakajima Airplane Factory. Today, we build the airplane. Tomorrow will bring the Divine Wind on the battlefield. Send out the plane with your soul.' Nearly the entire center spread shows kamikaze pilots on the ground and in flight; the fourth issue, Dec. 13, 1944, same format, depicts a mechanic at work on the nose of an aircraft. The photo is captioned: 'The spirit is following the hero of the kamikaze units. Learn bravery from the warriors of Rabaul'. IJA soldiers are shown within. The fifth issue, Dec. 27, 1944, same format, shows within a flaming B-29 in flight and after it has crashed into the sea. It is captioned: 'Crashing B-29 on 27th December 1944'. The next page has two photographs showing suicide aircraft taking off from land and sea, with a full page article. The sixth issue, Feb. 14, 1945, same format, shows within multiple images and sketches of airplanes and volunteers of the IJA 244th Fighter Squadron, tasked with ramming incoming B-29s in the air - a little known tactic - which is described in glowing terms. Fascinating photographs and content, fine condition.
