JAMES EARL RAY ORIGINAL PAINTING AND "WANTED" POSTER
(1928 - 1998) Assassin of Martin Luther King, whom he killed in Memphis in 1968. A fine piece of original artwork, an oil or acrylic painting of a simple landscape scene measuring 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" (sight), executed in bright orange and purple hues on canvas, housed in an elaborate gilt frame, very good condition. With a COA affixed to verso, verifying that the painting bears the number 82 on verso, signed by his wife, ANNA SANHU RAY. Along with a rare FBI wanted poster for Ray, 10 1/2" x 16", showing three mug shots, biographical information, and so forth. Dated Apr. 19, 1968 at bottom left. Very good condition. Two pieces.
