Jacques Prevert 1900-1977 French poet and screenwriter known for humorous, iconoclastic "song poems" of social hope and sentimental love. his signed book Lettre des Iles Baladar, Gallimud, 1952 On the yellow front paste-down and flyleaf Prevert has hand-drawn and colored a man in top hat in what appears to be a forest boldly signs and colors his name as well, and dates the piece "Paris, 1957". Cover is loosening and shows some wear, but drawing is very good.
