ANDREW JACKSON (1767-1845) Seventh President of the United States, "Old Hickory" became a national hero in his defense of New Orleans and as president encouraged Western expansion and paid off the national debt. Partly-printed D.S. "Andrew Jackson" as President 1p. 6" x 2", a check drawn on the Bank of the Metropolis, to the order of A. J. Donelson for the sum of $800, Washington, May 3, 1834. Cut cancellation affects "w" and "J" otherwise near fine condition. Tastefully matted and framed with an engraved bust portrait of Jackson. Not examined out of frame. $1,500-2,000
