ANDREW JACKSON (1767-1845) Seventh President of the United States, "Old Hickory" became a national hero in his defense of New Orleans and as president encouraged Western expansion and paid off the national debt. D.S. as President, 4pp., folio, May 30, 1834, in which Hillabbee Hasso of the Creek Nation of Indians in the State of Alabama sells to Daniel McDougal a tract of land in Macon County for $400.00, signed by Hasso with an "X" and by McDougal. Approved by Jackson on the fourth page with a bold 6" long signature. Twenty years earlier, Jackson had fought and defeated the Creek Indians of Alabama. Very $1,500 - 2,000
