(1895 - 1972) Controversial Director of the F.B.I. who built the organization into the world's finest investigative agency. Secretarially written and signed A.D.S. on Western Union letterhead, 1p. 8vo., Washington D.C., [n.d.], in full: '...Clyde and I are planning to attend Pop's services Thurs...' CLYDE TOLSON (1930-1972), long-serving Associate Director of the FBI, best known for his close, possibly romantic relationship with Director J. Edgar Hoover. When Hoover died, Tolson inherited his $551,000 estate ($3.4 million today), moved into his house, and accepted the U.S. flag draped on his coffin. From the collection of George 'Pop' Zagrofos, catering manager of the St. Moritz Hotel, and his wife Marie, who became close friends with Hoover and Tolson after meeting them at hotel events.

International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
