ISAIAH THOMAS
(1749 - 1831) American printer and publisher of the Massachusetts Spy, printed the first American Bible in English, founded the American Antiquarian Society. Scarce A.L.S. 1p. 4to., Worcester, Dec. 19, 1801, to Timothy Green, Esq. in New York. Penned on an integral address sheet, in part: "...I have received yours...and thank you for the Information it contains - I wish something could be done with Cornelius Davis, whereby I could get what is due to me. Wish you to watch him, and perhaps you may project some plan whereby I might receive payment...". Torn from opening, with franked address panel. Weakened folds, very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items are not shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arrange through the auction house.
