ISABELLA II
(1830 - 1904) Queen of Spain, her rights were only maintained through the support of the army, the Cortes and the Liberals and Progressists, forced to abdicate in 1870. Scarce manuscript D.S. 1p. 4to., Madrid, Sept. 9, 1857, a letter of state in Spanish directed to the King of Two Sicilies, Ferdinand II, announcing the birth of her niece. In part: "...I am truly pleased to inform Your majesty that my dear and beloved sister the Most Serene Infanta, Dona Maria Luisa Fernanda, the wife of His Royal Highness the Duke of Montpensier, on the 28th day of this past month happily brought forth in Seville, a Princess who was given the names Maria Amalia Luis Enriqueta...". Very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
