(1818 - 1885) Union major general whose army was routed at Bull Run. and who was later reprimanded for his command of the III Corps at Cedar Mountain and Second Bull Run. Printed General Orders No. 4, 1p. 8vo., Headquarters of the Army, New York, May 9, 1856, regarding troop movements in the Fort Ripley and Fort Snelling region of Minnesota as part of the Sioux Expedition. Signed in type, along with carte-de-visite image of McDowell, name penned in another hand at bottom. Together with a printed engraved portrait. Three peices.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry.
