INSURANCE PROTECTION AGAINST PIRATES An interesting partly-printed D.S., 1p. 4to., [England], Oct. 18, 1820, an original insurance statement for a round-trip naval voyage of the ship John Hull, to be made from "Bridlington to London". Insurable situations listed include: "Pirates, Rovers, Thieves, Jettisons, Letters of Mart [or Marque] and Counter-Mart, Surprisals, Taking at Sea...". Slight wear to left margin, possibly from disbinding, otherwise in very good to near fine condition. $75 - 100
