INFANTA EULALIA OF SPAIN
(1864-1958) Spanish Infanta and sister of King Alfonso XII, known for her controversial books written under the nom-de-plume Comtesse de Avila. Beautiful I.S.P., a sepia oval platinum [?] bust pose measuring 11" x 9", showing the Infanta wearing a sumptuous jewel-encrusted pearl necklace and diadem. Boldly inscribed in lower blank margin in French: "To la Marquise de Peralta in remembrance of my visit to the Chateau...Eulalia Nov. 1909". Light offsetting and foxing to blank margin from prior framing, otherwise very good.
