INESSA ARMAND(1874 - 1920) French-born revolutionary, one of the most important women in the movement, and purported mistress of Vladimir Lenin. She was appointed as an executive member of the Moscow Soviet after the October Revolution, also fought for female equality in the communist party. Very rare manuscript D.S. 1p. folio, Moscow, Sept. 13, 1918, in Cyrillic, in which Armand approves a job application, noting "satisfied application" in her hand and signing at bottom. Two marginal tears reinforced with tape on verso, typical numerous dockets, folds and a rusted paper clip impression at top, good to very good.
