IAN FLEMING(1908 - 1964) British novelist, author of tales of spies and espionage, creator of the British agent James Bond. Scarce T.L.S. "yours ever Ian" 1p. 4to., London, Oct. 11, 1961, on his imprinted letterhead to Albert D. Cohen, Esq. He writes concerning financial matters, in part: "...Thank you...for your useful information on Metropolitan Stores. With the rather difficult market conditions ruling at present it doesn't seem that I need to be in any hurry to purchase shares. But when conditions look a bit better perhaps I may write to you again...". The year of this letter, Fleming published Thunderball, twice adapted for film in 1965, and later in 1983 under the title "Never Say Never Again". Fine condition.
