660. JEDEDIAH HUNTINGTON (1743-1818) Revolutionary War brigadier general who repulsed the raid on Danbury, and served on the courts martial of Charles Lee and Major Andre. Partly-printed D.S. filled out in his hand as Collector of the Port of New London, Conn., 1p. legal folio, New London, June 3, 1797, certifying the veracity of a manifest submitted by Thomas Riche, master of the sloop John of New York. Manifest appears on verso. Toned at rough margins, partial fold separations, otherwise very good. $100-150
