Description:

Howlin Wolf Alladin Records 78RPM "File Copies" (2)
The jump blues shouter and R&B singer, scored fifteen Top 10 hits between 1946 and 1952 and is considered one of rock & roll's forerunners, influencing Elvis Presley, and a host of others. Though Harris' short stint with Alladin Records in 1947 produced only two released singles, this unique pair of discs with generic label, typed titles, no matrix numbers and handwritten "Alladin Records File Copy," were not released until his move to King Records in 1948. Included here: 1) the Wynonie Harris classic, a cover of Roy Brown's "Good Rockin' Tonight," b/w "Good Morning Mr. Blues," and 2) "Col Ya Koo" b/w "Good Bait." Visually graded as G+.
