JOHN BELL HOOD (1831-1879) Confederate Lieutenant General who led the "Texas Brigade" at Second Bull Run and Antietam, and under Longstreet Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, and Chickamauga, where he lost a limb. Scarce signature "John B. Hood" and pre-war rank as Brevet Second Lieutenant of Infantry, cut from a document. A bit closely-cut, slight toning, else a very good and most affordable example. $300-500
