HIROHITO
(1901-1989) The Emperor Showa, 124th Emperor of Japan. Presided over the country during Japan's militarization, involvement in World War 2, and unconditional surrender. Rare letter of state in Japanese kanji [untranslated], 3pp., folio, [Tokyo], [n.d.], The gold-trimmed document, in Japanese kanji, is signed by both HIROHITO and an unknown Ministerial countersigner in Japanese. Moderately toned, with beautiful trim and calligraphy, and purple ribbon and seal intact. Light folds, very good. Signature is superb.

Shipping

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
