Good lot of three photos and two pieces of ephemera related to Luftwaffe chief Hermann Goering and his family, includes: printed document (unsigned), 1p. 8vo., Berlin, June [n.d.], 1938, a thank-you card sent in response to an unidentified recipient's kind wishes on the birth of Goering's daughter, in full: "Thank you for the kindness on the occasion of the birth of our daughter Edda." The printed facsimile signatures of Goering and his wife Emmy appear below, and the integral cover leaf bears Goering's blind-embossed coat of arms. Shows file holes at the left edge, with a secretary's stamp and receipt initials in pencil at the top corners, else very good. WITH: pair of original photograph, each 6 3/4" x 4 3/4" b/w, the first a waist-up view of Hermann Goering in his white uniform holding a lion cub in his arms, and the second a view of Goering and other Luftwaffe officers reviewing an enlisted man. Both images bear the blind-embossed photographer's stamp "Robert" at bottom right, while the second image is backstamped "Der Reichsmarschall des Grossdeutschen Reiches - Photoarchiv [The Reich Marshal of the Greater German Reich - Photo Archive]", with the pencil accession number "367/12", indicating that it was held in Goering's official photo files. Both show slight bumps to the edges, while the latter image shows mounting remnants to the verso and some faint surface marks, else very good. WITH: OLGA THERESE GOERING (1889-1970), Hermann Goering's sister. I.S.P., 6 3/4" x 5" b/w/, a seated view of Olga writing a letter, surrounded by photos of her notorious brother. A photographer's black ink signature appears at bottom right. The photo is affixed to an 8 1/2" x 7 3/4" card backing, which Olga signs at the bottom in black ink, adding a dedication in German. The pencil name "Vera Walter" appears above the dedication, significance unknown. Shows slight bumps to the edges of the mount, else very good. WITH: Partly-printed D.S., 1p. oblong 8vo., [n.p.], July 14, 1944, a telegram form bearing a pencil message in a secretary's hand, conveying a birthday greeting for the wife of a "Reichsminister", secretarially signed in Goering's name at the conclusion. Shows a few minute tears and folds to the edges, else very good. Five pieces.
