HERBERT C. HOOVER
(1874 - 1964) 34th President of the United States whose attempts to reverse the course of the Great Depression led to his defeat at the polls by Franklin D. Roosevelt. T.L.S. on his letterhead, 1p. 4to., New York, Jan. 25, 1953 expressing thanks for a message, adding: "...The sun surely shines brighter since November 4th...". Browned, a few tiny spots, overall good. In November, 1952, Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower defeated Adlai Stevenson - an election which undoubtedly pleased Hoover.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
