HENRY CLAY FORD
Brother of Ford's Theater owner John T. Ford and Treasurer of the theater, he decorated Lincoln's box the day of the assassination and sold tickets for the evening's performance. Ford was questioned in Spangler's conspiracy trial. Rare A.L.S. 1p. 8v. on hotel letterhead, Washington, Sep. 19, 1893 to a Mr. Rosenburger promising a photo of himself if he can locate one, mentioning: "...all of my household goods are in storage at present...". Very good.
